Who we are
Maus & Partner supports business owners in the German Mittelstand with the sale and succession of their companies. We bring them together with selected investors to secure their life’s work for the long term.
We are a family business ourselves and have gone through the generational change in our own firm. That is why we know: succession is about more than a purchase price – it is about employees, values and what a family has built over decades.
How it all began
Dirk Maus founds Maus & Partner. After many years as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, he brings his experience and network into an independent advisory firm of his own.
His son Daniel Maus joins the family business after eight years in international investment banking at UBS and Goldman Sachs in Switzerland, London and Singapore.
Daniel Maus takes over as Managing Director and leads the firm in the second generation. Dirk Maus remains with the company in an advisory capacity.
With a nationwide network of business families, associations and investors, we support transactions with a volume of €2bn.

Founded Maus & Partner in Munich in 2013. Previously a long-standing Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. Today he supports the company in an advisory role.
Managing Director
With the company since 2021, Managing Director since 2024. Previously eight years in international investment banking at UBS and Goldman Sachs in Switzerland, London and Singapore.
